GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The U.S. Open concluded Wednesday, and local table tennis organizers already have ideas in place ahead of the tournament’s next stop here in 2014.

The five-day event at DeVos Place attracted 611 participants in 67 categories on 90 tables, numbers slightly below the event’s first visit to Grand Rapids in 2010 and attributed to the absence of some top players in anticipation of the Summer Olympics later this month in London.
