Hockey championships netting $1.9M impact on economy

West Michigan is hosting a pair of USA Hockey national championships that will generate thousands of hotel stays in the area.

The championships are expected to create a $1,985,482 economic impact on the market — as 640 youth athletes and coaches compete in the 2019 Chipotle-USA Hockey National Championships Youth Tier I (16U and 18U) April 3-8 at Southside Arena in Byron Center and Griff’s Georgetown in Hudsonville.
