JW Marriott’s 'innovative' mixologist credited for improving Grand Rapids' nightlife

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Guests at the JW Marriott often rave about Kellie Rowland's signature drink concoctions.
The mixologist at the downtown hotel's bar, Mixology Lounge, won the cocktail global contest within the entire Marriott International chain this year.
And she now she has a new award for her mantel with an equally intriguing descriptor of her talents: the 2012 Wave award for Nightlife.
It was one of six awards given out this week from Experience Grand Rapids and the Kent County Lodging Association to recognize outstanding service providers in local hospitality industry.
